Since this time last year, the Covid-19 restrictions imposed by the Government and other authorities precluded the annual Club awards from being presented within the expected timeframe to worthy recipients for 2020.
Typically, senior presentations are conferred with the fanfare, excitement and intrigue at the Club's annual Dinner Dance. Bord na nÓg beneficiaries would have expected the same exhilaration at their yearly gatherings, with contemporary sporting personalities on hand to make the awards.
While the circumstances of the presentations may not have occurred as in previous years' salubrious surroundings, nevertheless, it did not detract from the importance of the occasion as each recipient received their accolade at the Clubhouse with the approval and admiration of their colleagues.
