The Kilmeena U-12 lads put in a great performance in Newport yesterday evening, Monday the 22nd April coming away with a well deserved victory. It was nip and tuck in the first quarter with little separating the sides. Kilmeena moved up a gear in the second quarter to take a lead which they maintained in the third quarter. However, Burrishoole fought back in the final quarter to narrow the margin which left a tense few final minutes. The Kilmeena lads defended brilliantly to to hold on to a two point winning margin. Well done to both teams and management for a good sporting competitive game.
Final Score, Kilmeena 1-11 to Burrishoole 1-09.
