Kilmeena and Breaffy served up an entertaining league game in Kilmeena in perfect conditions on Tuesday last. This was a highly competitive affair with no more than 2 points between the two teams at any stage. Kilmeena played with the wind advantage in the first half and led by 2-5 to 1-6 at the break.
The second half started with Breaffy scoring an early goal to take a lead they never relinquished. It was nip and tuck to the end as both teams traded points, but Breaffy held out to win by two despite the home side missing late goal chances.
