Kilmeena U21's travelled to play Ballintubber in a winner takes all encounter. The weather was wet and under foot conditions were challenging.
Kilmeena started well with a strong defence well on top. Our team broke into the Ballintubber half and kicked some super scores and raced into a 5 point to one lead. All of a sudden we were camped in our own half struggling to win a kick out. Ballintubber tagged on the next few points to go two points up at half time 0 - 8 to 0 - 6.
As the second half started, Ballintubber had the upper hand and their inside forwards were very accurate. The men in red raced into a 7 point lead 0 - 7 to 0 - 14. Kilmeena worked their way down the field to score our first goal. This was the moment our lads kicked into gear. From that moment on we dominated possession and scored 3 further goals in the space of a few minutes.
Well done lads, great preformance, great win and fantastic entertainment.
