Kilmeena U-13's qualified for the Division 2 final this evening after a comprehensive victory in Ballintubber tonight. Kilmeena started very steadily and took some fine early points before putting away two quick goals to open up a good margin in the first quarter, before finishing the half with another scoring burst.
The second half was more of the same with subs coming on and putting in some fine performances. In the end Kilmeena pulled away gradually as the game wore on, and the Ballintubber lads competed sportingly right to the end.
Conal Gill was in fine form up front bagging 5 goals and he was well supported in attack by Conor Kelly, Jack O'Grady, Luke Durkan. In midfield Michael Regan had a storming game with Darragh Slattery putting in his usual box to box performance. The defence excelled especially John Murphy, Conor Feehan and Riain Kilcoyne
