Kilmeena 7-07 to Carnacon 6-10
The kilmeena U-16 ladies played Carnacon in a challenge match on Thursday evening the 2nd August. The match was played in Kilmeena and was a game of two halves. Carnacon with the aid of a Westerly breeze outscored Kilmeena by 6-09 to 2-05 in the first half. The second half saw a resurgence from the Kilmeena girls who managed to turn around the halftime deficit of 16 points to draw level. Carnacon did score a point in the second half and both teams had changes to win it towards the end. The game ended in a draw which was a fair result on the night. Congratulations to both teams and management for a good competitive enjoyable game of football. Thanks indeed to Carnacon for travelling down to Kilmeena and to Bertie for providing light refreshment afterwards.
