Kilmeena G.A.A. welcomed neighbours Burrishoole to St Brendan’s ground today at 6pm. It was a wonderful evening for a game and a good crowd turned out to see the game on show. It was good to see Jason Doherty back from county duty. The first half started with Burrishoole playing with the aid of a slight breeze and kicked some good scores. Kilmeena responded and edged slightly ahead. Burrishoole were more clinical and took their goal opportunity well and went in at half time up 1 - 07 to Kilmeena 0 - 04 The second half started with both teams attacking hard and fast. Kilmeena were unable to contain the attacking power of their visitors and conceded 3 second half goals. Although Kilmeena got one of their own and tagged on a few points it always looked to be a Burrishoole’s day.
